Jean-Louis Dutravie is certainly a member of our Beaujolais pantheon. Taking over the family estate in the late 80s, his style of joyful, lush, and age worthy wines and his commitment to healthy viticulture established his legacy for years to come. This wine is from the oldest vines in the family’s monopole site, most planted in the 1940’s. Aged in only older barrels compared to the mix of vessels for their classic Clos de la Grand Cour, showcasing a bit more of the savory side of gamay.
