2022 Famille Ogereau, La Martinière, Ronceray, Anjou, Loire Valley, France

We come together around the idea of saying “yes”: A small word that contains everything.

A wonderfully exciting project that demonstrates the intersection of family history and youthful innovation. While the vines of the Ogereau family were planted in the late 1800’s, it was three generations until the domaine started bottling their own wine. Emmanuel, the fourth generation, is now making the wines and is bringing his own style to the project. Organic and biondynamic techniques in the vineyard, no botrytis on the dry wines, slow pressing, and a focus on micro, terroir-driven bottlings are amongst the changes young Emmanuel has brought to his family’s winery.

A new wine brought to life by Emmanuel in 2020 when he decided to explore what would happen when he made a dry style wine from the family’s monopole vineyard on the historic slopes of Quarts de Chaume—normally a site renowned for sweet wine. This wine is aged for a year on the lees in older large oak barrels.

This wine is expected to be available to ship by mid November.
