2021 Zuccardi, Finca Piedra Infinita, Gravascal, Paraje Altamira, AR

We come together around the idea of saying “yes”: A small word that contains everything.

What started in 1963 as a project to showcase Alberto Zuccardi’s innovative irrigation system has evolved over the course of three generations into one of Argentina’s most visionary estates. Zuccardi marks the first Argentine wine brand to earn three 100-point scores from Robert Parker and our first Argentine wine offering.

Director of winemaking Sebastián Zuccardi joined the family business in 2002, and immediately looked to the Uco Valley—high-altitude vineyards at the foot of the Andes, where alluvial soils rich in calcium carbonate combine with extreme diurnal temperature shifts to produce wine of rare intensity and elegance.

This gorgeous 100% Malbec, which received a perfect 100 score from Robert Parker, is sourced from a tiny 0.73-hectare parcel at 1,100m where massive calcium carbonate stones dot the soil and fermented whole cluster in concrete. Dazzlingly aromatic, with notes of ripe blackberry, violet, and the tiniest whiff of Corsican mint, it shows weightless concentration and fine yet supple tannins leading to a long bramble finish. Drink now or hold for up to 20 years.
