Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux and Domaine Charles Lachaux
Same hands. Different intent.
At a glance, these two labels bear the same last name, the same cellar, and the same guiding mind. But look closer and you’ll find two distinct worlds—one rooted in legacy, the other in personal conviction.
Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux is the estate: a historic 14.5-hectare domaine stewarded today by Charles Lachaux, whose quiet revolution in the vineyard has transformed the family’s already respected holdings into some of the most sought-after wines in Burgundy. With regenerative farming, vertical pressing, and whole-cluster fermentations, Charles has elevated these wines into a new class.
This Chambolle-Musigny comes from five domaine-owned parcels perched high above the village, including the highest vineyard in the appellation. With rocky, limestone-rich soils and cool, north-facing slopes, these sites yield a wine that leans into the tension and lift that define great Chambolle. Vinified with 80% whole clusters and aged mostly in neutral oak, it’s wildly perfumed—morello cherry, cola, violet, crushed stone—and deeply layered, with a darker mineral core that sets it apart in the domaine’s lineup.
Elegant, nervy, and unmistakably precise, this is village wine in classification only. It’s a wine that radiates clarity of place—and the signature of one of Burgundy’s most sought-after vignerons.
