95pts James Suckling
Tatjana Peceric’s journey into wine began not in a vineyard, but on stage. As a member of a traditional Serbian dance troupe traveling through France, she experienced firsthand the alchemy of food and wine—the way one lifts the other, creating something greater than the sum of its parts. It was a revelation, powerful enough to change her path entirely. She redirected her future toward winemaking, studying oenology before earning a master’s in viticulture and pomology in France and Germany.
Years of winemaking in Priorat and Montsant followed, with Tatjana serving as oenologist at Terroir al Limit while also crafting wines of her own under Coreographia and, with her partner, Terroir Sense Fronteres. Across all her projects, she champions organic farming and minimal intervention in the cellar, bringing a deft hand to Spanish wines made in an ancestral style—lighter, more aromatically delicate, yet deeply expressive.
Tatjana Peceric’s Clarete is a fresh interpretation of an old Priorat tradition. Once considered rustic and outdated, clarete is made by co-fermenting red and white grapes, and is now finding new relevance among winemakers drawn to its nuance, versatility, and potential. This cuvée takes inspiration from Tatjana’s work on Terroir al Límit’s Roc d’Aubaga but stands on its own as the first Coreographia release from Priorat.
The fruit comes from 35- to 40-year-old certified organic vines in the schist-rich hillsides of Poboleda at 450 meters. Garnatxa negra and garnatxa blanca are hand-harvested and co-fermented, whole cluster, with five days of gentle skin contact before pressing. The wine finishes fermentation and ages for ten months in concrete eggs. The result is vivid and translucent, with aromas of brambly berries, almond blossom, citrus peel, and crushed stones. The palate is taut and lifted, with finely woven tannins, subtle Mediterranean herbs, and a long, mineral finish. It combines the delicacy of a fine white with the structure of a red and the brightness of a rosé, defying a single category in all the very best ways.
