Luis Oberrauch farms just 5,000 vines in the South Tyrolean village of Ora, many of them pergola-trained and over 50 years old. With deep roots in the region and a fiercely hands-on approach, he crafts elegant, small-production wines from indigenous varieties that are bottled unfined, unfiltered, and that are unmistakably Alpine in character.

Rot is a fragrant, featherlight blend led by schiava with just a whisper of lagrein. The wine opens with fresh cherry, wild strawberry, and lilac, underpinned by almond and rye bread. The palate is juicy and lifted, framed by bright acidity and a fine, savory tannin that brings gentle structure.
