Vincent Ledy founded his domaine in 2007 after years of training at Domaine Lecheneaut, bringing with him both technical mastery and a restless energy that quickly made his wines stand out. Based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, he farms just 3.5 hectares spread across appellations from Bourgogne Rouge to premier cru Les Porrets-Saint-Georges.
Though not from a winemaking family, his zealous commitment to organic farming from the outset reflects a philosophy rooted in authenticity and respect for the land. In the cellar, whole-cluster fermentations, ambient yeasts, and the absence of sulfur during vinification give voice to the pure, transparent terroir of Burgundy. His barrels have seen four wines or more, sourced from Domaine Lécheneaut. "I have no wish to blend outside tannins with the terroir," he says. His wines are already being compared to the likes of Lalou Bize-Leroy and Confuron-Cotetidot for their intensity, depth, and precision.
Les Porets Saint-Georges is sourced from a half-hectare plot planted in 1935. 2018, which spent 18 months in used oak, is intensely perfumed, with notes of black cherry, clove, cinnamon toast, and petrichor. Firm tannins and bright acidity throughout the extended finish. Cellar for 15-20 years to experience its full-fledged majesty.
