Founded in 1850, Domaine Laroche is a highly respected producer in Chablis with some of the largest holdings of Grand Cru vineyard plots. Older vines, meticulous pruning, green harvesting, massal selection and dedication to terroir health all set the stage for the quality of the wines made from these vineyards. Winemaking is deliberate, gentle, and focused on the purity of each site shining through.

La Reserve de l'Obedience is their attempt at the best possible wine from their best site in their best vineyard, the Grand Cru of Les Blanchots. They vinify the parcels separately and then blend the wine blind the following summer—after the parcels have aged in barrels. They have no target volume of production, only their favorite expression from that year. 2021 ended with 125 cases being produced.
