The son of Jean Foillard, an original ‘Gang of Four’ member, grew up in his family’s cellar and knew he wanted to continue the tradition of high-quality Beaujolais. He purchased his first vineyards in 2015, and his first vintage was 2016. Kermit Lynch quickly jumped at the opportunity to add these wines to his portfolio. This Cru Beaujolais (a distinction for the top ten vineyards in the region) comes from the La Folie parcel, 50-year-old vines growing on granite soils. A step up in weight class from his Village bottling, this wine is aged longer and released later.
