Founded by Ermenegildo Giusti, Giusti Wine is the modern expression of a winemaking tradition that traces back to the 1600s in the Veneto. Giusti’s Matteociei Recantina Anfora is a striking revival of this heritage variety, fusing elegance and freshness with depth and structure, all brought into sharp relief through amphora aging.

The 2021 Matteociei Recantina Anfora embodies Giusti’s core philosophy: minimal intervention, patience, and a profound respect for nature. Grapes are hand-harvested from their most prized parcels in the Emily and Aria Valentina estates, where Guyot-trained vines dig into iron-rich red clay. High-density plantings naturally limit yields, intensifying flavor and complexity.

Winemaking follows an unhurried rhythm. Fermentation unfolds with indigenous yeasts, and the wine is first rested in amphora before being racked and returned to the same vessels to continue its evolution. After 12 months of bottle aging, the result is a wine of astonishing depth—layered, vibrant, and alive with the character of both grape and place. The resulting bottles are dizzying.
