While the vines of the Ogereau family were planted in the late 1800’s, it was three generations until the domaine started bottling their own wine. Emmanuel, the fourth generation, is now making the wines and is bringing his own style to the project. Organic and biondynamic techniques in the vineyard, no botrytis on the dry wines, slow pressing, and a focus on micro, terroir-driven bottlings are amongst the changes young Emmanuel has brought to his family’s winery.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis bottling celebrates the unique terroir of parcels grown on Spilite derived soils, a unique type that while not altogether rare in Anjou, has been rarely isolated on its own. This wine consists of a blend of older and younger vines planted between the mid-1950s all the way through to the mid-2010s.
