If you want to see a Burgundy lover light up, mention Jean-Marc Roulot. Though Domaine Roulot has been a standard-bearer in the region shortly since its founding in 1830, Jean-Marc (at the helm since the 1980s) is famous for championing terroir expression by way of pure, perfectly-ripe fruit. There are few wines—and winemakers— more iconic.

For the past decade, he’s led a micro-negotiant project, using Roulot-selected grapes from trusted neighbors, hand-harvested on the date he stipulates. The resulting wines are vinified, aged, and bottled by Roulot in the Roulot cellars. This, his Bourgogne Blanc from said project, is a blend sourced from five hectares grown on clay and limestone soils. It opens with meyer lemon zest and honeysuckle, with bosc pear, Silver Needle tea, and wet river rock ensuing. Electric acidity intertwined with crystalline minerality provide structure and energy throughout. A marvelous offering, and one we’re proud to share with you.
